Best ANBERNIC Handhelds: Which Model to Buy

ANBERNIC makes more than 40 retro handhelds, and many of them share the same chip, so the choice is mostly about shape, screen and operating system. The Linux models under $70 run the same H700 processor; the Android models from about $80 to $275 step up in power, screen and battery; and the WIN600 runs Windows.
This guide groups the current models by what you want to play and how you want to hold it, with official specs and the prices on ANBERNIC's own store.

Your first handheld, under $70: the H700 Linux models
The RG35XX 2024, RG 35XXPro, RG35XXSP, RG 34XXSP and RGSP all use the same H700 quad-core chip with 1GB of RAM and run Linux, so they play the same games equally well. What changes is the shape (vertical, horizontal or clamshell), the screen and whether there is Wi-Fi. A clamshell protects the screen in a bag; a vertical body is the most pocketable.
RG35XX 2024 $44.99 (was $49.99)
3.5-inch 640×480 screen, vertical, 2,600mAh battery (about 7 hours).

RG 34XXSP $64.99 (was $67.99)
3.4-inch 720×480 clamshell; a sharper, wider screen.

- Pick the version; most Android models come as a standard version without a game card, plus RAM and storage options.

- Time it if you can: ANBERNIC has run an 11.11 (Singles' Day) sale in November with lower prices on popular models, so check the store before you buy.
- Test the handheld as soon as it arrives; returns are limited to 15 days.
Shipping and returns
Shipping is calculated at checkout by weight, size and destination, and orders take 2–4 business days to process. The RG Cube was $122.99 against a regular $169.99, a saving of $47. The RG35XXSP was $54.99 against $64.99, a saving of $10, before shipping.
