Is Brooklinen legit?
Short answer: yes, Brooklinen is a real store, and our score is 3.8 out of 5. The main caveat: Trustpilot rating of 2.5 from about 100 reviews.
It sells sheets, duvet covers, quilts, towels, blankets and robes through its own website, brooklinen.com. Public ratings: Trustpilot (brooklinen.com) 2.5 (106). Returns: 365 days from purchase for returnable items bought online or in a Brooklinen store. Brooklinen doesn't do exchanges; return and reorder instead.
Our take: legitimate, but read the downsides below before you buy.
Quality
Brooklinen's Trustpilot page has 106 reviews averaging 2.5. Some buyers have used the sheets happily for years; others report sheets tearing, bath mats curling and odors.
Price and value
Sheet sets cost about $150 to $300. Bundles cost less than separate pieces, and Last Call items are reduced by 40% or more, such as a Luxe Sateen duvet cover from $89.40 instead of $259.
Shipping and returns
Ground shipping is free over $100 to the contiguous US. Returns are accepted for 365 days from purchase, one of the longest windows in bedding, but Brooklinen doesn't do exchanges, so you return and reorder. Reviewers report slow refunds and inaccurate tracking.
Customer service
Agents are often described as friendly, but Brooklinen doesn't reply to negative reviews on Trustpilot, and some reviewers complain about marketing texts and emails.
