Is Coway legit?
Short answer: yes, Coway is a real store, and our score is 3.6 out of 5. The main caveat: replacement filters are expensive.
It sells air purifiers, bidets, water purifiers and filters through its own website, cowaymega.com. Independent reviews are still scarce, so judge it mainly on its policies. Returns: Refund requests within 30 days of the ship date (90 days for some Bidetmega models), under Coway's conditions.
Our take: legitimate, but read the downsides below before you buy.
Quality
The 22 Trustpilot reviews of Coway's US store average 1.9, though many reviewers say the air purifiers themselves are quiet, effective and energy efficient. The complaints are mostly about ordering and filters.
Price and value
Filters start around $30, and purifiers cost about $130 to $600. Reviewers say filter sets don't match the recommended replacement schedule, so budget for filters before choosing a model.
Shipping and returns
Shipping cost shows at checkout. Refund requests are accepted within 30 days of the ship date, or 90 days for some bidet models, under Coway's conditions.
Customer service
The profile is unclaimed. Reviewers describe long phone holds and unreturned calls, plus problems managing filter subscriptions online; one says a warranty issue was resolved quickly.
