Quality
Backbone holds 4.4 out of 5 from more than 500 Best Buy reviews and 3.8 on Trustpilot. Buyers like how it turns a phone into a handheld and praise the app. The main complaint is durability, with some controllers failing within days or a few months.
Price and value
Controllers cost $79.99 to $169.99, and accessories start at $29.99. Check retailers too, since Best Buy and others often discount the previous generation.
Shipping and returns
Postal shipping is free to all 50 states; orders process in two to three business days and ship in four to twelve. Refunds depend on meeting Backbone's return conditions, otherwise you may get a partial refund or none.
Customer service
Some reviewers say support replaced a faulty controller at no cost; others say messages went unanswered. Backbone doesn't reply to negative Trustpilot reviews, so use its support form and keep records.
