Retail & marketplaces affiliate programs
Big retailers and marketplaces sell almost everything, so they convert well, but their rates are low and their cookies short. They suit sites with a lot of traffic and product roundups.

What to check before you join
These are the stores almost every reader already uses, which helps conversion, but the terms are thin: Amazon, Temu and eBay are listed with 24-hour cookies, Costco with 1 day and Walmart with 3 days. Rates are mostly low and vary by category (Amazon 0% to 10%, Walmart 1% to 4%), while Costco pays a flat amount per membership instead. TikTok Shop works differently again, because each seller sets the commission. Pick the store your readers already buy from for the products you cover, and check the category rate before you write: a busy roundup in a low-rate category can earn less than a niche page in a better one.
